With tickets I won at a lottery, we planned a biketour through Park High Veluwe to have a look at the heather that was in bloom this time of year. It was beautiful weather for a bike ride. We enjoyed the park, and again I didn’t need to worry about getting there or getting home, because my friend drove us.

In the morning I had my last appointment with my hematologist for this year. We talked about the healing process, the meds, and stockings. For now, I have to take the blood thinners for life. It’s because of FVL, a hereditary clotting factor in my blood, Covid-19, and me not in shape as I was before the fall. So basically to avoid risks and for me to become certain of my body.

I told her about the problems I experienced with my stocking. She told me about the options she had. She advised a groin stocking as I had. But also a pantyhose or a shorter stocking till my knee were options. Because my belly got swollen too during sports, I could try the pantyhose. I hadn’t to decide right away, so I could think about it. The stockings I wore did their job in avoiding my leg to get thicker.

We had a great day in the afternoon and evening at Park High Veluwe. In the week after our visit, I couldn’t find my camera. Because of my concentration problems, I also forgot about it while looking for it because I got distracted easily. After 2 weeks I still hadn’t found my camera, so I called the park. They had found it; I had left it near the table we had dinner 2 weeks ago. I felt stupid because I’m always careful whit my belongings. This is not like me at all! Luckily my friend was so sweet to drive us there again, and we also visited my sister that day, who I hadn’t seen in a long time.
